Change 15 - Go To Gym Four Times Per Week
->
I have decided to go to the gym four times per week.
I recently joined a new gym. In the past, when I would join a gym, I’d go faithfully for a month or two, and then stop going. But, now that I’m really focused on losing weight, I’ve decided to make this a priority. My daughter has gymnastics four times a week and if she can go that often, and she’s 8, I can can go that often, too!
I’ll swim at least twice a week and attend ‘boxing style’ aerobics three times a week. It might be difficult to find the time to go, but I am determined. What good does it do me to work my butt of to save money and plan for the future, if I’m not healthy enough to enjoy it? So, starting this week, I’m hitting the gym (a minimum of) four times a week.
By the way, this change REPLACES Change 2 - Walk 45 Minutes. Walking 45 minutes a day has prepared me for this new change. But, now that I have the gym, I can combine my workouts and my cardiovascular training. This doesn’t meant that I’ll stop working, but I won’t worry if I need a rest-day once in a while.

Very good goal, best of luck. One advantage your daughter has is that she does not have the decision of going or not. Since it is on the SCHEDULE she will be there, and most likely will be taken there by someone else. I believe the best chance at maintaining this goal is to put it on a definite schedule and plan other things around it. This seems to be very key to actually maintaining it.
Also, I used to do a kick-boxing aerobic class and it was the best thing I ever did. The instructor telling you stuff to do and everyone else there at the same time was a great atmosphere. I think some classes we ended up doing about 150 crunches and as many push ups! I have never been as inspired to work by butt off before or since that class.
I personally have committed starting this week to wake up early and do at a minimum 20+ crunches and 20+ pushups to start my morning. So far 1 for 1! Yay
